Fight the Bulge with Massage Therapy
Posted by: | CommentsObese people are in danger of heart attack. Unfortunately, weight loss programs entail so much effort to keep up with, notwithstanding the discipline that should be observed by those trying to shed off excess fat. It is hard not to eat when your appetite is raging like a bull, right? Don’t despair. Massage therapy is something you might like to do in order to lose weight. If you love to get a good massage, then this good news is for you.
However, don’t expect massage therapy to instantaneously work on your 42 waistline, and trim it down to 22; that’s asking for the moon. Weight loss programs, including massage therapy, do not work that way. To succeed with ANY weight loss program, you have to act your part. Do your exercise. Eat healthy. Your weight loss program is only the vehicle you can ride on, to get where you want to go, but you have to decide where and how soon you get there.
How to Lose Weight with Massage Therapy
Massage Therapy makes weight loss, a walk in the park. Here are five benefits that you can derive from a good, regular massage:
1. Cleans the body from the inside out. Regular massage detoxifies the body by eliminating excess fluid that the body retains due to inactivity or a lethargic lifestyle. As toxins are eliminated from the body, the body’s system functions normally and burns up calories faster. This prevents fat build-up.
2. Strengthens tissues and muscles. Regular massage tones the muscles and builds them up. Strong muscles cut down fat deposits, and burn them up a lot faster.
3. Eliminates water build-up. Water makes up about 60% of the body’s weight; elimination of excess fluid makes the body lighter, and you will feel better, too. Regular massage aids in the proper elimination of waste.
4. Repairs tissues faster. Muscles and tissues wear and tear; massage therapy promotes fast healing of these breakouts, and enables the body to carry on with its functions. As the body remains active, excess fat buildup is prevented.
5. Relieves pain that can derail the person from exercise. After a workout, muscles get sore. Massage therapy relieves tired and taut muscles by eliminating lactic and carbonic acid that the body excretes during workouts. When relief is achieved, the body feels good again and prepares itself for the next round of workout. Regular exercise, good food and massage therapy are antidotes to excessive weight gain.
Massage Therapy is an effective weight loss regimen that you can do for fun, but with maximum results, on your weight loss goals. Unlike other weight loss programs that concentrate only in the elimination of excess flab, massage therapy works on your overall health, not just on your curves.
